Teflon Replacement Studs for Band Removers
The Teflon Replacement Studs are non-sterilisable tip pads that fit the working end of a band-removing instrument. The PTFE (Teflon) body transmits controlled force from the instrument shank into the band without scoring the enamel, and the low-friction surface releases cleanly from the band margin during removal. Because PTFE softens at autoclave temperatures, these studs are intended as chairside-use-only spares that are discarded rather than sterilised. Each Equate Instruments set contains five studs, and three tip diameters - 4 mm, 5 mm, and 6 mm - are available to match the band-removing instrument on hand.
